Philomena

HIYOOO!!!! It´s been long since I didn´t write, not that I haven´t seen any worth mentiong movie, but I can´t seem to find time in my ZOMBIE life as a worker.

I want to talk to you today about a movie I happened upon in London..
British movie starring Steve Coogan and Judi Dench. I don't know what it is with this woman , but I have a thing for this old lady and her acting. She's a star.
By Director Stephen Fears adapted from the real book:
< The Lost Child of Philomena Lee>.  It hasn't hit Number one Screening talkabout in cinemas but shines in its entire splendor for it has win BAFTA awards ( for best adapted screenplay), aswell as being nominated for the OSCARS, Golden Globes and Toronto Festival. Definetly, a movie that deserves a watch or two. I´m quite a fan of dramas. Perhaps,it´s not a topic for all ears ,a delicate subject to bring back to life and a true story that's finally told.

The story of Philomena, a teenage unwed girl who gets her baby taken away from her and given up for adoption, a truth which happened  in Ireland by  the hand of nuns . Philomena's child was one of them, stolen from her arms and never unable to track him and scared to even think about his future search.
I Can´t imagine the horror this mother had to go through.

When journalist  Martin ( Steve Coogan) decides to give a shot to her story, first for interest but later for passion, he brings a smile back to Philomena's face and a sparkle of hope.
Picture this: an old adorable lady and a selfish tight English journalist off to the road to search for Philomena´s stolen son, who could for what they know, be almost anyone on the planet.
As they get  closer to the truth, an unexpected but "saw- it- coming" friendship emerges between them and a necessity to keep digging up the matter and get closer and closer to justice.   What at first was a story for a main newspaper headline becomes a story that both characters hold on together with infinite twists of emotions.

A human story kept in secret for years, an ending that keeps you clinging on for the final happiness of Philomena. A brave woman in a plight with her past and the courage that takes her out of her own drowning river and off to search for her beloved child.
A persuit for love and the strength of a woman  SPEAKING UP, after all those years of silence.

Congratulations to the English Director, you moved me, like long time movies hadn´t.
